Simeon and Maria, from the Colorado in the US, sent in this picture of Jasmine playing in the snow in her new coat.
Patti altered the vest pattern a little to create both of the following outfits pictured. Modeling is her 2 year old Toy Poodle named Ethel. The first picture shows a holiday dress that she made for Ethel and the second picture shows a vest that Patti made for one of Ethel's friends.
Sharon, from Texas in the US, made this coat for her Shih Tzu, Jade. She had given her a shorter haircut than usual and Jade seemed to be getting chilly in the house with the A/C running. Instead of buying a coat, she decided to make one and was delighted to find the pattern online. She used green fleece fabric that she had leftover from another project and lined it with blue quilted material, also leftover from another sewing project. She used the 15" pattern but adjusted it to make the straps longer and also added some length to the back. She mentioned that Jade had never worn any type of clothing so she was surprised to see that it didn't bother her at all, in fact Jade seems to enjoy wearing it.
Odessa made this jacket for her Chinese Crested Powder Puff puppy. She stated that none of the stores near her carried jackets small enough for her pup to wear(9 1/2 inch chest) so she decided to make one with her brand new sewing machine. The first time she attempted the vest, it was too short because a Chinese Crested is longer in the body with a good size chest but a small neck. So she lengthened the jacket by an inch. She put cotton batting in the middle and added decorative trim to the neck and back. After the slight alteration, Odessa says the vest fits perfectly and only took about an hour to assemble.
